Not too long ago a friend of mine was involved in Dragon Boat Races at the Montgomery Riverfront Facilities near the amphitheater. His wife was going to be out of town and she asked if I’d be sure to snap a few shots if I was going to work the event.
I hadn’t been commissioned to work the event, but I had already planned on attending (briefly) with my wife and daughter so I could show my support for Ben and the rest of the participants.
Here are a few casual shots I fired off while spending time with friends and family.
Occasionally it’s nice to just attend something as a observer or attendee and not have to “work” the angles for a client shoot. Although there are perks to media passes!
