Who is Bryan Carter?

I’m a designer living in Montgomery, Alabama with my beautiful wife and two kids. I currently run a small photography and design business, where I work with clients such as RSVP–Montgomery, Montgomery Convention & Visitor Bureau, Saint James School, IronWorks, Auburn University Montgomery, Know the Community, Pike Road Chamber of Commerce, Bluebird Press and Selma Visitor Guide.

In the past, I worked for Hatton-Brown Publishers designing for their many local and international magazines. On the side, I’ve worked for clients as big as Saks Fifth Avenue and as small as the mom and pop shop on the corner.

Long before graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, I was fascinated with art, design and technology. My degree was simply an attempt to legitimize my passions, and it has led me to many opportunities. My photography and designs have been published in dozens of local, national and international publications.

Production Assistant, Graphic Designer, Digital Systems Consultant, Technical Art Director, Creative Art Director—I’ve been called just about everything. And today I find myself wearing many different hats all at once. If you’ve ever been a business owner, you understand. Deep down I’m just a designer and photographer… a true right-brain creative who is inspired by the world around him.

PHP, CSS, HTML—they are skills I enjoy performing, but my passion lies in typography, photography and traditional methods of art & design. I choose my jobs very selectively while not forgetting those who helped me along the way. I still manage to find time to work for my former employer, Hatton-Brown Publishers—and I’ve kept in touch with most of my college classmates who’ve been known to find themselves on my payroll from time-to-time.

Why am I telling you all of this?

Because I find it comforting to know something about those I work with. I understand that for a job to be performed well and communication to be at its best—a relationship must be formed. I want you to understand where I’m coming from. To know I have a family and have experienced the responsibility of raising a child.

Anyone can develop the skills necessary to build a website or to layout an article in a magazine. Marketing graduates can guide you to content for your next ad, Editors can fill your pages. Printers can even combine these materials to the point of final publishing, but it takes a designer to put it all together in such a way that it reaches your target audience and communicates the idea you know it was meant for.

I’m that designer that will take your project from start to finish. I can deliver on time and with quality workmanship. Your deadlines will be met and I will never come in over budget. If I don’t know something, I’ll hire the person that does. With Carter Photography & Design, you don’t have to worry.

Give me a call. Let’s see if we can help each other—it doesn’t have to be big. It doesn’t even have to be design. I’d love to shoot your next event or brainstorm on your next big project.

No matter what the job chances are I can meet your needs, and if I can’t—I’ll help you find someone that can.
